How and where are the cushions made?

The cushions are made in northern Thailand from materials centrally sourced and provided to workers in their homes.  Each cushion is individually cut, stuffed and sewn before being returned to our supplier for wrapping and distribution.  Although the colors remain common across all products the process leads to some slight variation in size and weight. Our quality assurance process ensures you receive goods of the highest standard in addition to a cushion which is uniquely different from other cushions produced in the same color.

What are the cushions filled with?

Most of the cushions are filled with 30% rice straw and 70% kapok (unless otherwise stated).  Kapok is a premium cotton-like material which comes from the seed pods of a Kapok tree.  The fibre is hypoallergenic, soft, light, mold resistant, insect resistant, waterproof and 100% organic.

What payment options are available for purchasing the products online?

Payment can be made by Direct Transfer, Paypal or Credit Card. Credit Card transactions are processed through PayPal using SSL technology to keep your information secure. How closely do the products match the images on the website?

All goods are individually crafted so some natural variation can be expected in terms of size and weight. Although the material for the outside of the cushions is centrally supplied the color of products shown on the website may differ from the images due to your computer monitor or other technical factors.  However, our quality control processes seek to ensure you will only be sent goods of the highest standard which match your order.

How long will it take for my order to arrive?

How much do you charge for shipping and handling?

Shipping rates are calculated on the total weight of your order.  You can easily estimate how much your shipping charges will be by adding an item to the shopping cart, entering your country and post code then selecting "calculate" on the bottom left hand side of the page.  The applet will then calculate the total cost and weight of items in your basket and display the charges on the page.

How are the goods shipped to my address?

We use Thailand Post as our primary carrier for speed, reliability and convenience.

Where are the goods shipped from?

All goods are shipped from our address in northern Bangkok

What about import duty and taxes?

Import duty and government taxes may be applicable depending upon your country’s custom regulations.  Unfortunately we have no control of this or way of anticipating what these charges might be. On the arrival of the goods in your country, Your local delivery service will contact you to collect any additional duties or taxes if required.  Your order will then be released as soon as you pay the charges.  All necessary duties and taxes are the responsibility of the purchaser. If you have any concerns you should contact your local customs authority.

Can I buy the cushions without stuffing?

Our cushions come pre-filled to ensure firmness, shape and durability.  Stuffing is a specialised skill and the savings made by purchasing the cushions  pre-stuffed with premium kapok material generally outweigh any charge your local customs agency might apply for treatment or handling.

What countries do you ship to?

We ship to almost every country in the world except Australia and Nepal.  Unfortunately, the customs regulations and cost of handling in these two countries make it uneconomical to do so.
